Community dinners are exactly what they sound like...a community dinner!
These meals are prepared off-site and are brought to Cornerstone to be served and shared. Each meal begins with a devotional message and prayer, but the primary purpose for this time is building relationships. If we want to introduce people to Christ, first we must honestly introduce ourselves in friendship. Relationships are the key to bridging the gap between material and spiritual needs.
Community dinners are also a great way to get your feet wet at Cornerstone. If you are looking for an initial volunteer opportunity for yourself or your group, this is a great first step. You can visit a group already serving and see what it is like without any pressure or preparation. Currently, three church groups participate by serving a monthly community dinner (many more are represented by individuals volunteering with these existing groups). This means you have three opportunities each month to check it out! To schedule a visit, contact Project Director Frankie Kropp.
